I am joining the Electrical Engineering Department (EE) at University at Buffalo, the State University of New York, in August, 2018.

I have several fully-funded Ph.D student positions in the area of machine learning, statistical signal processing and information theory. Students with strong backgrounds in machine learning, signal processing, communication networks, mathematics, and statistics are encouraged to apply. If interested in the position, please send me a resume with your transcript.

About me

I am a postdoc with Coordinated Science Lab at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, hosted by Prof. Venugopal V. Veeravalli. I completed the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Syracuse University in May, 2016, supervised by Prof. Yingbin Liang. I received the B. E. degree (with honers) from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2011. During the fall semester in 2015, I was a visiting student at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

My research interests include statistical signal processing, machine learning and information theory, with applications to data science, sensor networks, smart grids, cyber-physical systems and wireless communications.
